  Gateway Church has been an incredible find for my husband and I! Since starting at Gateway, we have found many great friends we now consider family. I've been able to go to an orphanage in Haiti and sponsor beautiful children we know personally and love. The messages are very relatable, filled with love and infused with a dash of humor. I am so grateful to have found Gateway!!

  Gateway Community Church in San Marcos is a comfortable, Bible based church that provides a path for all people seeking something deeper and better in their life than what this material world offers. Gateway offers an opportunity for all ages of people to learn about and seek God, at their own pace. No pressure, no guilt, just God's grace.
  
  At Gateway we laugh, we share stories, we meet new friends and we care about each other. The teachers are all wonderful from preschool to adult classes, there is something for everyone.
  
  Please come and check it out, I did and I'm so much better for it.

  Gateway is a medium-sized church - big enough that you can attend a service without sticking out and being asked to stand up and introduce yourself (been there done that, not fun) - and small enough that you will likely attend services with the same people week after week, getting to know their faces and names, and they yours, quickly.
  
  The facility is contemporary and casual. Nothing stuffy at all. You can even bring coffee/drinks with you into the auditorium.
  
  The teaching is excellent, whether it's regular Pastor, Craig, or an occasional substitute teacher - Kids Pastor, Nickia, Youth Pastor Charles, Worship Pastor, Frank, or Karissa Harrison - all are fantastic, insightful teachers who seem to speak right to issues I'm dealing with or know someone who is!
  
  Frank, the Worship Pastor, does a great job ushering attenders into the presence of God through the medium of music and focus on Him. And, it's not a "performance", even though he does have an amazing voice, and is an excellent musician and song-selector. Expect Contemporary worship songs in the vein of Hillsong, Bethel, Jesus Culture, Urban Rescue, All Sons and Daughters, as well as classic favorites such as Chris Tomlin, Matt Redmond, and the like.
  
  Above all, the M.O. at Gateway is "GRACE". Come as you are - not kidding. No mask or pretense of perfection needed (or wanted).
  
  Sunday service is at 10:00am, and gets fairly crowded so go 5-10 minutes early if you can. Wednesday "Dive Deeper" classes start back up Wednesday Sept 16th at 6:30pm. The mid-week "refresher" is nice.
